glacier by the numbers

Since Joe had a week off from school, I took a few days off and we headed up to go camping in Glacier National Park.  Here's a quick run-down of our trip by the numbers.

5                    hour road trip to get to glacier national park

4                    new nerdy podcasts we tried out in hopes of
making a long drive go quicker... (it worked!)

3                    days of camping in the beautiful rocky mountains

100s!           waterfalls seen around every bend in the road (thanks                         to late spring run-off!)

3                     bears seen within 10 yards of our car driving in glacier

0                    bears seen while hiking in glacier (thank goodness,
or i might have had a heart attack!)

2                    long-horn sheep seen while driving in glacier

many!          kind strangers offered to take our picture so we could                          both be in it

2                    pieces of amazing raspberry and huckleberry
pie from The Park Cafe in St. Mary, Montana.

12                  miles of hiking throughout the weekend

3                    miles hiked up a mountain in the snow

9                    people we saw snowboard down that mountain...
                      many of which in swimsuits

10:30pm      time at night when it finally got dark.. our bodies said
time for bed but our minds were a little confused.

2                    very sore, very dirty, very exhausted, and very
                      satisfied travelers returning home

Stay tuned for some more of my thoughts from our trip (amazing what hiking around in the mountains can do for some blogging inspiration!)
